CEGSU/CEG
This is a beginning stage for the formation of research center that focuss on environmental geology. The institution’s name is Center for Environmental Geology in Sriwijaya University (CEGSU). Because of this work is as a initial step, so this center would not have a letter of affirmation from Head of Sriwijaya University. Therefore, the institution’s name is Center for Environmental Geology (CEG) provisionally as a group of researchers who want to study about environmental geology.
The scope of studies include all kinds of environmental problems in geological perspective, like flooding, water contamination, earthquakes & tsunami, landslides, subsidences, volcanos, minerals & energy resources, etc.
Researchers of CEG comprise with some staff specialist in environmental and applied geology field. the CEG is in communication with Center for Disaster Mitigation of Urban Area (CDMU), a research center that under-developing by Mr. Budhi Setiawan, S.T., M.T., Ph.D.
